That is a huge news for cryptocurrency, the first country to accept Btc as legal tender!
This is the start of Bitcoin becoming mainstream as other countries will certainly follow quickly.

Definitively a big news that'll change the world. But even if they mine BTC with 100% clean volcano energy, ASICs still have be made with precious resources just for the sake of Bitcoin, while we could instead have everyone's CPU make useful computations to advance science

Less than a year later, one more country adopted Bitcoin as legal tender currency, the Central African Republic.
What's next? The adoption will probably accelerate with time, and eventually, all countries will use Bitcoin.

This would effectively fulfill the dreams of esperantists that created the Spesmilo, then the Stelo.
Personally, I don't really care about the decentralization or anti government things unlike many in the crypto world, but I like Bitcoin as a practical and borderless currency. In that sense, the Spesmilo and Stelo are the Bitcoin ancestors to me, and Bitcoin is going to succeed for them.

Nice! Settling for Bitcoin's still better than nothing.
I didn't know about such attempts to make an international currency, just heard about the language. That's interesting.
